2 weeks are up and the polls have been taken for our 100 challenge! The winner is…

Tim Williams with his audio post: a remix of Cam and Amy’s voice from the ‘Thank-You-Vlog’ at 100 bpm.

”Cam’s voice supplied a lot of the hats, percussion and bass bits, while Amy gave us a lot of the ‘wordy’ bits and one hell of a kick!” says Tim.

Running up a close second was Jordan Johnstone’s 100 Images of bordness. Voted for by Meg Butler, Romy Clugston, Sam Stewart and Jack Bleasdale. One of our personal favourites, Jordan’s motivation was no secret here. The guy was fucking bored.

Tying with Jordan for second place came our most front-cover-of-any-year-8-boy’s-school-diary entry: the Michael Hewitson masterpiece: 100! On display at MOMA, New York, the MS paint extravaganza was voted for by Jack Bleasdale, Pat Campbell, Tristan Scott and Ali Thorpe.

The wow-this-is-some-legit-photography award (and our first upload) goes to the artistic mosaic of photos by photographer Jack Bleasdale, voted for by photographer Prudence Blain.

Thomas Druitt gave us 100 fonts, complete with grammatical errors, wingdings and the seriously underrated ITC Bookman.

And from Oliver Minnet we had 25 photos taken over 100 days. Perhaps more of a time commitment than the late work of Hewitson. Perhaps not.

Voter of the week goes to Bennedict Kennedy-Cox, who voted for Tom’s 100 fonts. Bennedict wins this because his name is Bennedict. Can’t argue with awesome.

Could there be a more winning combination?

Remember blowing in the end of NES cartridges? Game designer and sporter of the most badass name Ever, Batsly Adams, has taken this to a new level. DrunkenNES: the nerd/hipster/BAC-reading-enthusiast must-have.

The game involves blowing into a breathaliser (shaped like a NES cartridge). The game takes your blood alcohol level and you progress accordingly. In other words, the drunker you are, the higher your score.

Essentially it’s a glorified BAC reader, but what DrunkenNES lacks in gameplay it makes up for in awesome animal puns coupled with 2 frame 8-bit animation.

There are 6 levels of intoxication:

1. Sober

2. Getting started

3. Buzzed

4. Tipsy
5. Drunk
And the inevitable 6. Wasted:

(By Wasted, you probably don’t even notice that the puns aren’t animal-centric anymore.)

I’m no gamer, but for this, a high score is on the cards.

The conversation that just took place:

“Have you heard of that USB in the wall thing?”

“What?” *googles* “No way!”

“Let’s do it! I’ll go buy a USB from Woolies now, it’ll be like 10 bucks, you find some cool content and blog about it.” *leaves abruptly*

*Types first content based blog in a puff of post modernism*

This is a trend that has sprung up across New York where people are literally embedding USB drives full of goodies in brick walls. Kick-starter of the idea Aram Bartholl deems these ports ‘Dead Drops’, a truly anonymous peer-to-peer transfer point for file sharing.

Bartholl is one of 20 resident artists of Eyebeam, the leading not-for-profit art and technology centre in the United States.

As awkward as propping your laptop or mobile up against a wall is, beware! This is a non-issue compared to the hoops certain people have to jump through. Owners of Dell laptops may find accessing the treasure chest of files slightly more difficult when they realise that they have to do the whole charade upside down.

Here at Bekozwy we’re calling them data glory holes.
